Make a Donation

In order to operate, Spes Nova requires the generosity of donors like you! Any donations made directly to Spes Nova will go towards funding the costs of our website, our outreach to artisans and new partners, engaging students, and so much more!   Yes, all donations are tax-deductible!

Spes Nova is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) organization, so donations are eligible for U.S. income tax filings deduction.

Make a Loan

For many of our supporters, making loans to groups and individuals is their primary way of working with Spes Nova. Your zero-interest loans for artisans go directly to the projects and businesses you choose and impact individuals, families, and whole communities in ways you can hardly imagine. Even the smallest amounts make a real difference.

Please remember that you are making pre-production zero-interst loans, not donations. Even though Spes Nova is a 501(c)(3), amounts committed to loans are not tax-deductible (please see Terms of Use for details). We work very hard to achieve high loan repayment rates and hope you will consider recycling your loan repayments to other artisans in need of financing.

Buy Products

A vital part of helping artisanal communities break out of poverty is to provide access to global markets for their goods. Some of our entrepreneurs are remarkably creative and hard-working, and their ultimate success could otherwise be limited by the ability of their local communities to absorb their products. Purchasing their products over alternatives allows you to know the origin of your new item and that it is creating a virtuous cycle of growth.

As with loans, amounts spent on buying merchandise through Spes Nova are not tax-deductible (please see Terms of Use for details).
